I’ve just bought a moto e 2015 for 57 euros from amazon as a secondary and smaller phone to bring with me during festival/concerts, if this mobile was already out it would have been my choice

“The delivery schedule for Ivory has not confirmed yet due to the supply problem of some parts‟ –1/20/2016. Rather curious that the Thor gets announced shortly after.

Phones get announced every single week. Meizu announced the Pro 6 shortly after that too, are they owned by Elephone as well?

Liked the phone but starting to hate mediatek SoC, they should choose SD650

The 6753 is an excellent budget SoC. If they were going to go with Qualcomm it would have been a 410 or 430, not the 650.

the Antutu score of Thor seems the highest among 5 inch MTK smartphones..

Maybe of the current crop of phones, but several of the older MT6752 phones were scoring in the 40’s. Not that these numbers really mean much.

what is it all about ? why such hype over vernee ?

Many chinese companies sell phones with low-end MTK SOCs. All of a sudden, Vernee get the attention of specialized internet press, and many articles are written about Apollo / Thor. I don’t really get why this phones are more “exciting” then other budget phones sold by lesser known chinese manufacturers. That’s why i’m asking this “out of nowhere” questions.

Apollo was announced coming with X20, 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, it’s the biggest point to attract people to pay attention. THor, i think it’s because of the nice price performance.
